Truck bed tool drawer drawers – While installation of the tool drawer in the bottom of your pickup truck is not difficult, it is a bit more involved than putting it there and go. Different bed drawers fit different times, but they all have the same basic principles. Some may require drilling into the bed rails and some use a component called the J-bolt just to clamp the drawer to the rails.
Place adhesive tape truck bed rail protectors on the rails where the toolkit will be staying. Although this step is optional, it is highly recommended and will protect the paint in the truck bed tool box drawers, and even provide some cushion for both the drawer and rails.

Assemble the truck bed tool box drawers. If the drawer uses the aforementioned drilling technology for assembly, simply place the bolts through the holes and thread the nut firmly under the bed. Using lock washers will ensure that the nuts do not become loose over time, allowing the drawer to move. If the tool drawer uses the J-bolts to mount them, shoot the J-bolts through the factory drilled holes and then tighten the nut down the inside of the drawer. Make sure that the curved portion of the J-hook is fastened properly to the bottom of the bed. Use lock washers for this process, as well.
