Rustic platform bed – Starting with lay two of the longer log poles parallel to each other in the position where you want the bed to be finished. Add two of the shorter log poles perpendicular, with their slots nest with slots in the longer poles. This process will remind some of playing with the Lincoln Log toys. Then, run a 3-inch nails in each visible chopping, hammering nail down through both poles to keep them in place.
Next steps to build rustic platform bed are adding two long poles above the existing posts. Nail them in place as you did in step two. Add two short poles above the existing short stanchions. Nail in place. Repeat steps three and four to add a third layer of poles. Next, set the plywood in place so that it rests on the ridges of the narrow poles. Depending on the exact diameter of the poles – they often vary – you may need to cut a shallow groove in the tops of the poles. Use your chainsaw for this.

Nails along each long side of the plywood, nail the plywood in place with the help of a series of five evenly spaced 1-inches. Drive nails into the log beneath and through the plywood. This will serve as a platform for your mattress. Repeat steps three and four for the last time either, adding another log to your frame. Last, set your mattress in place and enjoy your rustic platform bed.
